Lion Forge Announces ‘Iyanu’ Livestream Event on December 13

Lion Forge Entertainment will host the first-ever Iyanu Holiday Livestream — a festive, full-day virtual fan event celebrating the hit animated series Iyanu. The livestream will feature cast appearances, a table read, merch drops, giveaways, a sponsored gameplay showcase from Resurrection Games, and will culminate in an exclusive first look at Season 2.

Fans can tune in to the Lion Forge Entertainment YouTube Channel on Saturday, December 13 (10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. ET) to catch all the action!

In addition to an exclusive first-look at Season 2, fans can catch a “Team Chosen” table read featuring Serah Johnson (voice of Iyanu), Sam Kugbiyi (Toye), Okey Jude (Biyi) and Stella Damasus (Sewa). There will also be a behind-the-scenes dive into the music of Iyanu featuring composers Blakwater Sound and Femi “FEM D” Agunbiade for Jomfi Music, giveaway, holiday surprises, special guests and more.

Among the highlights will be a gameplay showcase from Resurrection Games‘ new title, Yorubaland: Wild Terrain, a family strategy game where teams compete in a “Tiger Tag” style chase across a modular landscape (SRP $48.50). Inspired by Roye Okupe’s original graphic novel and the Lion Forge animated series, Yorubaland is one of three titles available for pre-order now, alongside the fast-paced card game Iyanu: Mark of the Chosen ($21.95) and the younger-skewing memory tile challenge Iyanu: Crossroads ($26.50). Games ship this month.

Airing on Cartoon Network and streaming on HBO Max, Iyanu is a magical animated story world rooted in Yoruba mythology. Produced by Lion Forge Entertainment (Oscar-winning short Hair Love), the story follows a young heroine in the magical kingdom of Yorubaland as she unlocks divine powers and embarks on an epic journey. The franchise is celebrated for its rich visual storytelling, cultural authenticity and the vision of Black creatives behind the scenes.
