After a successful launch across social media last year, Crunchyroll brings back its year-in-review experience Crunchyroll Arc. The celebration highlights how anime has become a cultural touchstone for millions around the world, and how expressive, communal and identity-driven the fandom is.
In 2024, fans made Crunchyroll Arc a viral moment sharing their anime personas, viewing streaks and favorite series across platforms like X, Instagram and TikTok. The hashtag #CrunchyrollArc generated millions of social impressions and community interactions, proving what fans already knew: anime isn’t just a genre, it’s a way of life.
Each fan’s journey comes to life through one of seven personas embodying their viewing preferences:
Hamurai – Curious Dimensional Nibbler
