The rollicking ride that is South Park Season 27 continues tonight (October 15) with an all-new episode premiering at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central, streaming the next day on Paramount+, as well as On Demand through TV providers post-premiere. While more insane, irreverent surprises are surely in store, here is what the network offered as an advance warning:
Ep. “Twisted Christian”: Cartman is possessed and may be the key to stopping the Antichrist.
In the promo video, we also see a haggard figure warning that a “cult” of “6-7” is taking over South Park Elementary, referencing one of the many inscrutable pieces of brainrot slang embraced by Gen Alpha inspired by this song by Skrilla. The reference has lit the video’s YouTube comments on fire with a blend of posters voicing some version of “I can’t believe 6-7 is on South Park” vs. “I don’t understand what 6-7 is.”
Additional new episodes of South Park are scheduled to premiere on the following Wednesdays: October 29, November 12, November 26 and December 10.
South Park debuted on Comedy Central on August 13, 1997. Co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone are executive producers, along with Anne Garefino and Frank C. Agnone II. Eric Stough, Adrien Beard, Bruce Howell and Vernon Chatman are producers. Christopher Brion is the Creative Director of South Park Digital Studios. South Park’s website is SouthPark.cc.com.
Side note, linguist Dr. Taylor Jones (@languagejones) has a 15-minute deep dive into the origin and evolution of “6-7” on his YouTube channel here.
