Fans of PAW Patrol will have to wait a little bit longer to see Paramount/Spin Master/Nickelodeon hero dogs wag their tails on the big screen next year. Deadline reports that the PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie has moved from July 24, 2026 to August 14 next year. The pooches will no longer have to worry about fighting off Sony/Marvel’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day on July 31 and Universal/Illumination’s Minions 3, which will come out on July 1. Next summer’s big animation titles also include Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 5, which will open on June 19.

The animated canine hero’s third big-screen adventure finds Chase, Skye, Marshall, Rubble, Rocky, Zuma, Everest, Liberty and Ryder stranded on a mysterious dinosaur island, where they meet a pup named Rex. When Humdinger’s reckless mining triggers a volcano, the team faces their biggest rescue mission yet to save the island. The third outing is directed and co-written by Cal Brunker who also helmed the first two movies. The voice cast includes McKenna Grace, Jameela Jamil, Terry Crews, Jennifer Hudson, Snoop Dog, Paris Hilton and Bill Nye. The feature is produced by Laura Clunie, Jennifer Dodge and Toni Stevens and exec produced by Ronnen Harary and Keith Chapman, in association with Nickelodeon Movies.
The PAW Patrol franchise includes two movies: PAW Patrol: The Movie (2021), which grossed $144.3 million worldwide, and the sequel, PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie (2023), which earned $205.1 million worldwide. The Mighty Movie is the highest-grossing film in the franchise, with a total of $65.3 million domestically and $139.8 million internationally. Mikros Animation, which was acquired by Rodeo FX in March (after parent company Technicolor’s collapse) produced the animation for first two movies.
The PAW Patrol TV series was created by Keith Chapman (Bob the Builder) and produced by Spin Master Entertainment and animated by Guru Studio. The show premiered on Nick Jr. in the U.S. in August of 2013. The show’s spin-off Rubble and Crew (animated by Canada’s Jam Filled Ent.) premiered on Nickelodeon in 2023.
