The notorious tabby brings his fully-animated, big-screen adventure home this month as Sony Pictures Home Entertainment releases The Garfield Movie on Blu-ray and DVD on August 27. The set comes with a generous garnish of bonus features to whet any Garfield fan’s appetite.
Synopsis: Garfield (voiced by Chris Pratt), the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, is about to have a wild outdoor adventure! After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father – scruffy street cat Vic (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson) – Garfield and his canine friend Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist.
Directed by Mark Dindal (The Emperor’s New Groove, Chicken Little) from a screenplay by Paul A. Kaplan & Mark Torgrove and David Reynolds, based on the characters created by Jim Davis (who also executive produces), The Garfield Movie‘s voice cast also features Hannah Waddingham, Ving Rhames, Nicholas Hoult, Cecily Strong, Harvey Guillén, Brett Goldstein, Bowen Yang and Snoop Dogg.
