TBS Develops Big Tow; IFC Opens The Wrong Door
As the major networks and cable outlets announce their slates of new shows, several new animated shows have made the cut.
In addition to the previously announced Neighbors from Hell, due in 2010, TBS is developing a series called Big Tow, about a single father who runs a small-town towing company.
The show is created by Clay Graham, a former writer on The Drew Carey Show.
Meanwhile, IFC will debut the VFX-heavy British sketch comedy series The Wrong Door on June 9.
The series, created by Jack Cheshire, is set in a parallel universe ruled by the laws of comedy rather than physics.
‘Producing a sketch show with 850 visual effects was never going to be easy. We joked that it was the equivalent of three and a half Star Wars films, only funnier … and, obviously, about a 50th of the price,” said Cheshire.
The series will air as part of the channel’s Tuesday-night Automat programming block.
