Superights Gets Sleuthing with ‘Maelys’ Mysteries’ from Nadasdy

Distributor Superights announces a worldwide distribution agreement with producer Nadasdy Films for its brand new series, Maëlys’ Mysteries (52 x 13’). The show will be presented at this month’s MIP Junior market.

Currently in production, the series takes viewers on an adventurous journey with the young and intrepid Maëlys, a 10-year-old girl who is thirsty for riddles to solve. With the help of her best friend for life Lucien, she is always ready to investigate the mysteries she witnesses. Maëlys is always curious and not afraid of anything: Everything that seems suspicious is the beginning of an incredible adventure! These two friends take young viewers along on their hectic investigations and awaken their sense of observation.

Maëlys; Mysteries is based on the collection of eponymous books written by Christine Pompeï and illustrated by Raphaëlle Barbanègre, a true publishing phenomenon with over 230,000 copies already sold.

This new acquisition is in addition to the special Zibilla and the series Ralph & The Dinosaurs, also produced by Nadasdy Films and distributed by Superights.

“It is above all a pleasure to continue our collaboration with Nadasdy film through this new program,” said Nathalie Pinguet, Deputy General Manager of Superights. “The series perfectly complements the investigations and adventures theme of our catalogue, a genre that remains very popular with children aged 4 to 10, girls and boys alike.”

“We are delighted to present to the public the adaptation of this great bookstore success and are confident that Superights will promote and bring this series to audiences around the world,” added Nicolas Burlet, President and Founder of Nadasdy Films.
