‘Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty’ Takes Off with Jetpack

Indie global kids and family content distributor Jetpack Distribution has picked up international rights to Funrise’s new animated series Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty. The deal grants Jetpack distribution in Canada, Latin America, Europe (excluding Italy and Russia), Australasia, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty launched on Nickelodeon in the U.S. last month, and is heading to Nickelodeon’s international channels and branded blocks across 170+ countries and territories later this year.
“We are delighted to be bringing the colourful Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty to Kidscreen. It’s a mash-up world where endless adventures and exploration await,” said Dominic Gardiner, Jetpack Distribution’s CEO. “This show boldly combines the greatest loves of our kids lives right now! Plus, it teaches them to believe in themselves and embrace their individuality.”
Randy Shoemaker, Funrise’s Senior Vice President of Marketing, said, “We are excited to work with Jetpack to expand Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty to even more kids around the world. RBUK truly resonates with kids as it’s the perfect blend of comedic adventure and spirited characters in a magical mashup world. Jetpack’s understanding of kids, their deep industry experience and their enthusiasm for RBUK make them a great partner.”
Aimed at kids 6-11, Rainbow Butterfly Unicorn Kitty (52 x 11’ + half-hour holiday special) centers on spirited and adorable kitty named Felicity who acquires magical and majestic powers. Part rainbow, part butterfly, part unicorn and 100 percent kitty, Felicity can shoot glow sticks from her paws, lasers from her horn, stretch and snap in rainbow mode, and clap thunderously with her butterfly wings. Together with her best friend Miguel, an energetic puppy, she’s ready to take on every challenge that comes with living in the magical mashup world of Mythlandia.
