DHX Media has inked broadcast deals for two of its flagship preschool properties – the new Teletubbies and Twirlywoos – with the Australian Broadcasting Company to air on ABC Kids. According to Head of ABC Children’s Television Deirdre Brennan, the channel will begin broadcasting the series in 2016.
The pre-k phenom Teletubbies are back with 60 new episodes for 2015. The new episodes, set to premiere on CBeebies later this year, take advantage of CGI enhancements to the Teletubby world to ramp up the creative imagination of their stories. Meanwhile, Ragdoll Productions’ Twirlywoos (50 x 11) combines innovative, nurturing stories with laugh-out-loud humor to help young audiences gain confidence in their perceptions of the world.
