Americanized Creature Comforts Premieres on CBS in June

The U.S. version of Aardman’s acclaimed Creature Comforts series is finally set to make its debut on CBS Monday, June 4 at 8 p.m. Based on Nick Park’s 1989 Oscar-winning short, the half-hour show takes real person interviews and juxtaposes them with stop-motion animated animals. The British TV series premiered in 2003 and quickly became a hit for U.K.’s ITV1 network on Sunday nights.

The Americanized series is exec produced by Kit Boss, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein (The Gotham Group) and Aardman’s Nick Park, David Sproxton, Miles Peter Lord and Miles Bullough. U.K. director of the show Richard Goleszowski is also the supervising director of the CBS version.

In upcoming episodes, interviews with hundreds of ordinary Americans from across the U.S. cover topics such as doctor visits, animal magnetism and the truth about keeping secrets. The British show was awarded the Rose d’Or for Best Comedy and Cristal Award for Best TV Production at the Annecy Animation Festival as well as the Audience Award at the New York International Children’s Film Festival
