A new Danish “sci-fi-femme” universe has been birthed online from the cosmic collision of animation, poetry and music in Tantratic. The project launches with the debut of a character journal complete with music tracks to underscore each entry, and of the first animated video, Svartzul.
Svartzul is a techno-melodic introduction to the project’s high-tech meets highly feminine vibe. Fluorescent tattoos, sequins and pulsing strobes all shed light on this strange new animated world.
Tantratic is the brainchild of Jeanette Nørgaard, a writer and director educated at Viborg, Denmark’s The Animation Workshop who has earned awards for her previous films Leitmotif and Hund I Himlen. Over the last several years she has developed the concept, entering into collaboration with Danish singer, producer and composer Jenny Rossander (popularly known as Lydmor).

Tantratic is produced by Lorène Lescanne of Sønc animation studio, located in the Arsenalet creative cluster in Viborg.
