Haig Bedrossian will be teaching a new course in Flash Animation at Max the Mutt Animation School in Toronto, Canada. The traditional and 3D artist started animating in Japan on Yoshiaki Kawajiri’s anime favorite Wicked City.
With more than 15 years of production experience, Haig draws from a pantheon of influences, including Chuck Jones, Buster Keaton, Hayao Miyazaki, John Kricfalusi and Ray Harryhausen.
In addition to his work in Japan, Haig directed an animated short titled The Fragile for the rock group Nine Inch Nails. He also developed animated webisodes of Super Squat Brothers. Haig previously worked for Spin Prods., where he developed new styles and techniques for two Disney shows in development 4WD and Oscar’s World. At Xtreme Prods., he created the opening animation for The Rolling Stones’ Bridges to Babylon Tour. He also did animation for Nortel Networks’ “Come Together” campaign.
