THQ Inc. has appointed veteran video game industry exec Kelly Flock to the newly created position of exec VP of worldwide publishing. Reporting directly to THQ president and CEO Brian Farrell, Flock will oversee the company’s publishing activities, including product strategy, marketing and sales stating later this month.
Flocks 20 plus years of experience in video game publishing, sales, marketing and licensing includes stints as president and CEO of Sony Online Entertainment, president of 989 Studios and president of Sony Interactive Studios America. He also served as general manager of LucasArts Entertainment Company where he managed the game division of Lucasfilm Ltd.
