Sophia Jansson, creative director of Moomin Characters and niece of Moomins creator Tove Jansson, will give the keynote address at this year’s edition of Brand Licensing Europe in London on Wednesday, October 14 at 12:30 in the Licensing Academy. The address is titled “My Life with the Moomins – The story of a classic brand on its 70th anniversary.”
Jansson will share her personal story of the journey of the Moomin brand and will be joined by Moomin Characters CEO Roleff Kråkström and Bulls Licensing global licensing director Gustav Melin. The talk will offer unique insights into the strategy, development and future plans for this classic brand.
“The Moomins’ brand journey is fascinating; from the first books in 1945 and dolls a few years later through to the present day and its impressive position amongst worldwide brands,” said BLE event director Darren Brechin. “We are delighted to help celebrate the 70th anniversary with a showcase at BLE, and look forward to hearing the future plans for this beautiful and much-loved brand.”
BLE takes place October 13-15 at London’s Olympia. The Keynote and Licensing Academy program are free to attend. Details at brandlicensing.eu.
