6/19/02 Dragon’s Lair 3D Site Launched

When Dragon’s Lair 3D hit video arcades in the 1980s, nobody had seen anything like its blend of animation and interactive gaming. Now fans have a web address for all things related to the classic video game. To promote the upcoming release of the new Dragon's Lair 3D: Return to the Lair, www.dragonslair3d.com was launched with news, information on the franchise, a strategy guide and more.

In a press release, Rick Dyer, the game's original designer and president and CEO of Dragon's Lair LLC and Dragonstone Software, states, "All of us collaborating on Dragon's Lair are continually amazed and delighted by the enthusiasm fans have shown year after year for Dirk the Daring, Princess Daphne, the animation and the story. The new website offers us the perfect opportunity to communicate directly with our fans and provides a forum for them to exchange messages with their Dragon's Lair friends. As the Dragon's Lair 3D launch draws closer, the website will be THE destination for up-to-the-minute details on the game's availability."

Dragon’s Lair 3D: Return to the Lair is scheduled to ship this fall for PlayStation®2, Nintendo GameCube, Microsoft Xbox, PC and Macintosh®.
