Electronic Arts today announced the North American release of The Sims Mega Deluxe, a compilation of installments in the top-selling PC franchise. The release packages together the original PC game, The Sims, with three of its popular expansion packs: The Sims Livin Large, The Sims House Party and The Sims Hot Date.
The Sims launched in February 2000, introducing gamers to a neighborhood of simulated people whose lives are controlled by the players. The Sims Hot Date allows players to be matchmakers for their Sims, while The Sims House Party gives gamers everything they need to throw the biggest bashes in their neighborhood. Meanwhile, putting Sims into the most outrageous situations and settings is the goal of The Sims Livin Large.
The release also includes The Sims Creator, a customization tool for creating Sim characters. Players can even import their faces into the program and put it directly on a Sim.
The Sims Mega Deluxe is available in stores now for a suggested retail price of $39.99. It carries an ESRB rating of "T" for Teen for comic mischief, mature sexual themes and mild violence.
