More Terminating for Loken as BloodRayne
Comingsoon.net reports that Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines star Kristanna Loken will play the title character in the feature film adaptation of Majescos gory video game, BloodRayne. The former model will go from butt-kicking cyborg to sword-wielding half-vampire for her new role.
BloodRayne is being produced by 1st Boll Kino Beteiligungs GmbH and Brightlight Pictures Inc. Director Uwe Boll is making a career of adapting video games for the big screen. He recently brought Sega’s game House of the Dead to theaters for Artisan Ent., and is in post-production on a feature adaptation of Atari’s Alone in the Dark, which he exec produced. He is also producing a movie based on Cryteks first-person shooter, Far Cry.
The film is slated to begin filming this month in Romania. Written by American Psycho scribe Guinevere Turner, the script will have Lokens character driven by vengeance to overthrow her father, Kagan, king of all vampires.
