Lumina Realizes Spanish Dream
Daily Variety reports that the new Spanish international sales company Lumina Films has picked up the 3D animated feature Midsummer Dream for overseas sales. The Spanish film is coproduced by Dygra Films of Spain and Appia Filmes of Portugal. Based on Shakespeares play, the Spanish film reportedly went into production during the summer of 2002 is said to cost $8.6 million. Dygras previous CG effort, The Living Forest, was a boxoffice success in Spain and qualified for consideration in last years Best Animated Feature Oscar race.
