The Gnomon School of Visual Effects, in conjunction with the renowned artists of Legacy Effects, is hosting a showcase art exhibit titled “The Art of Legacy Effects.”
Legacy Effects is an award-winning character design, makeup, specialty prop and animatronic studio. Various artists from the studio and founders John Rosengrant and Alan Scott will be showcasing images, life-size models and previously unseen props used in major projects alongside some of their most outstanding personal works.
The showcase at Gnomon Gallery will provide an inside look at the creative workflow behind such blockbuster films as Avatar, Iron Man and Thor.
An official opening reception will be held Saturday, May 28, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the gallery, located at 1015 N. Cahuenga Blvd., Hollywood, Calif. 90038. The gallery’s regular hours are Monday-Friday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
