Crunchyroll Announces Anime Award Nominees. Vote Now!

Voting has officially opened for the third annual Crunchyroll Anime Awards, presented by Capcom’s Devil May Cry 5. The awards honor the year’s best animation output from Japan, with 15 dedicated categories to spotlight fans’ favorite series, characters and on screen moments and more. New awards introduced this year include Best Director, Best Character Design, Best Fight Scene (presented by Capcom) and Best Performance by a Voice Actor, both in Japanese and English.

The most-nominated series this year was Megalobox with eight nods. My Hero Academia returns to the nominations list for the second year in a row with two, having been nominated in eight categories in 2018 including Anime of the Year.

The organizers are also running a contest for fans concurrent with the vote — users who log in to their Crunchyroll account and vote in all the categories will be entered to win a one-year subscription to Crunchyroll Premium. There are 10 chances to win, so be sure to cast your vote and share your picks on social media using #AnimeAwards!

Online fan voting is open now!
