A new crew of super heroes is taking over Tubi screens, with the launch of adult animated series Super Team Canada on the free streamer. Available to watch now, the Crave Original series is created by Emmy-winning brothers Robert Cohen (The Big Bang Theory, Somebody Somewhere) and Joel H. Cohen (The Simpsons).
Synopsis: Super Team Canada follows six lesser known and underrated Canadian superheroes, tasked with saving the world from giant evil robots, an unemployed octopus and a seriously needy hardware store clerk. When the world’s other heroes are trapped and killed, these wanna-be benchwarmers become Earth’s last and most maple-syrup-powered hope.
The series is voiced by Will Arnett (Arrested Development) as Breakaway; Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother) as Niagara Falls; Kevin McDonald (Kids in the Hall) as the Prime Minister of Canada; Charles Demers (Beat Bugs) as Poutine, the American President and others; Brian Drummond (Dragon Ball Z) as Sasquatchewan and others; Ceara Morgana (Starship Troopers: Extermination) as Chinook and others; Veena Sood (16 Hudson) as RCM-PC and others; and guest star Jay Baruchel.
Robert Cohen serves as showrunner. Executive producers are Will Arnett, Alex Cichon, Joel H. Cohen, Kristin Cummings, Marc Forman, Jennifer Twiner McCarron and Matthew Berkowitz.
Super Team Canada (10 x 30′) is Atomic Cartoons’ first adult original animated series, produced with Will Arnett’s Electric Avenue, in association with Bell Media’s Crave. The series premiered on Crave in May.
