Spain’s Frank Barton Co. Launches Fast-Growing Pre-K Series ‘Pim Pam Pino’

The Frank Barton Company, a Madrid-based animation studio known for its high-end campaigns for global brands, has launched its first original preschool series, Pim Pam Pino. In just six months, the wood-textured animated world has drawn over 55 million views and nearly 70,000 subscribers on YouTube, positioning the series for international growth across platforms.

Founded in 2008, The Frank Barton Company made a name for itself in the world of animated advertising, working with agencies and advertisers across Europe and beyond. Now, the studio is expanding into the world of original content.

“For every ad campaign, we had to build a brand-new universe from scratch — only to see it disappear once the job was done. We wanted to create something that could last, something of our own,” says Ursula García, Executive Producer and Co-Director at The Frank Barton Company. “That’s how Pim Pam Pino was born: as a space where we could tell our own stories, at our own pace.”

Entirely produced in-house and without external funding, Pim Pam Pino was conceived as a 3D project that feels handmade. Drawing inspiration from wooden toys and manipulative materials, the series creates an immersive world designed for children ages 0 to 5. Each episode introduces playful learning moments — counting, exploring emotions or discovering animals — animated to original songs or traditional melodies reimagined using mostly wooden instruments.

Rather than focusing on lead characters, Pim Pam Pino is built around a collection of wooden pieces — cats on vacuum cleaners, flying piglets, geometric shapes — used to tell new stories each time, much like a child reaching into a toy box. The producers have prioritized slow pacing and warm, gentle storytelling to create calming content for young children that supports early intellectual and emotional development.

“Our goal with Pim Pam Pino is to offer a respectful, screen-based learning experience that echoes the tactile richness of real-world play,” adds Walter Belenky, Creative Director of the show. “The slow pacing, warm tones, and thoughtful music are all designed to support healthy cognitive and emotional development in young children.”

Available on YouTube in both Spanish and English, Pim Pam Pino is ready to grow and explore new foundational concepts for preschoolers. Production on Season 2 is already underway.
