‘Super Team Canada’ Adult Animated Comedy Coming to Crave

It’s time to save the world … Canadian style! Fans can follow the wild adventures of Super Team Canada next month with the new Saturday morning-flavored adult animated super hero comedy premieres on the Crave platform on Friday, May 16.

Super Team Canada is Crave’s first-ever original animated series and is created by Emmy-winning brothers Robert Cohen (The Simpsons, The Big Bang Theory, Somebody Somewhere) and Joel H. Cohen (The Simpsons). The 10 x 30′ show is produced by Thunderbird Entertainment’s Atomic Cartoons and Will Arnett’s Electric Avenue, in association with Crave.

Synopsis: Super Team Canada focuses on the exploits of six, little-known Canadian superheroes trying to save the world from evil giant robots, an unemployed octopus, and needy hardware store clerks. The stakes are high for these stereotypically underdog Canadian super-unknowns, who are called in as Earth’s last resort when all the other superheroes have been destroyed.

The series features an all-star, all-Canadian cast that includes Will Arnett (BoJack Horseman, Arrested Development), Cobie Smulders (How I Met Your Mother, MCU’s Maria Hill), Kevin McDonald (Invader ZIM: Enter the Florpus, Kids in the Hall), Charles Demers (The Last Kids on Earth, Beat Bugs), Brian Drummond (Ninjago, Sonic Prime), Ceara Morgana (Starship Troopers: Extermination), Veena Sood (Deepa & Anoop, Corner Gas Animated), and guest star Jay Baruchel (How to Train Your Dragon, This Is the End). The show’s theme song was written by Canadian music legend Bryan Adams.

Super Team Canada premieres May 16 with two episodes, kicking off a 10-part episodic story about drowning the pancakes of evil in the maple syrup of justice!
