Cloudco Entertainment is proud to announce the launch of the global Care Bear Stare campaign, celebrating of a special moment in Care Bears history. First introduced over 40 years ago, the Care Bear Stare returns with a fresh new video interview featuring the original cast of Care Bears, a series of real-world and digital activations, and a movement for fans across generations to harness the power of togetherness and caring spirit in 2025.
A highlight of 1980s kids’ animation, the Care Bear Stare sees the Care Bears unite, align their belly badge powers and send out a radiant beam of positivity — changing the world for the better. Cloudco’s latest campaign revives that same spirit for today, bringing the Care Bears together in fresh and surprising ways, with some fan-favorite besties along the way.
This April, the fun kicked off at Coachella, where Cheer Bear took the stage alongside Cam the Squishmallow, Domo Kun, Teletubbies, Strawberry Shortcake, Yo Gabba Gabba! and more — joining legendary songwriter Paul Williams and his recent collaborators, Portugal. The Man, for a heartwarming live cover of “Rainbow Connection.”
“There couldn’t be a better time to remind ourselves of our own ability to change the status quo through our own Care Bear Stares — little personal acts of kindness, or thoughtfulness,” says Kristy Miall, Cloudco Entertainment’s Director of Global Marketing. “Care Bears have always been so much more than toys: working together, looking after your friends, defeating evil, and spreading positivity joy for everybody which is what we are embodying through this campaign.”
Highlights of the campaign include:
- Exclusive Video Premiere – A fresh take on the Care Bear Stare, debuting on social platforms and YouTube via Premier Kids on April 25. (Watch below)
- Social Media Magic – Meme-driven, trend-led, and designed to surprise and delight, with playful combinations of Care Bears and fan-favorite friends.
- Acts of Kindness – Fans can follow and contribute to the movement using #CareBearStare, sharing real moments of care — sending a message, giving a hug, helping a friend — no gesture is too small.
- IRL Activations – The Care Bears will be popping up at major moments throughout 2025 — from Coachella last week to New York Comic Con and Share Your Care Day later this year.
