Glitch Prod. Teases ‘Knights of Guinevere’ from ‘Owl House’ Creator & Writers

Fans of Disney’s The Owl House have hope of more animated magic from creator Dana Terrace and writers John Bailey Owen and Zach Marcus! Today, Glitch Productions (Digital Circus) launched the teaser trailer for Knights of Guinevere, a new indie project that marks the studio’s first 2D project.

The show is described as “an indie animated, sci-fi psychological thriller,” and the teaser opens on a fairytale scene of a blue-haired princess napping in a forest clearing, surrounded by animal friends … Suddenly, we cut to an alarms-blaring situation in a red lit room, where an android struggles on the bed of a machine and a panicked voice shouts, “S***! She’s waking up!”

According to the video’s YouTube description, a pilot is in the works to be released late this year.

Terrace, an SVA graduate, is best known for creating the critically acclaimed Disney Channel animated series The Owl House, which ran for three seasons from 2020 to 2023. The show was a fan favorite and earned praise for its LGBTQ+ representation. It won the Peabody Award for Children’s & Youth Programming in 2021, and earned nominations from the Daytime Emmys, Annie Awards and GLAAD Media Awards.

Prior to launching The Owl House, Terrace worked a as storyboard artist on Gravity Falls, Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure and The Mitchells vs. the Machines.

Knights of Guinevere is co-created by Terrace, Owen (story editor/writer/co-producer on The Owl House; writer for Future-Worm!, Clarence) and Marcus (staff writer on The Owl House; writer/storyboarder on Star vs. the Forces of Evil).
