Ahead of MIPCOM, Mediatoon Distribution, French entertainment group Média-Participations, has expanded its diverse offering with two new TV specials and a feature film. With one of Europe’s largest animation catalogs, with over 5,000 hours of premium content, the Paris-based distributor is committed to offering a wide range of demographics, genres, storytelling and visual styles.
At MIPCOM, Mediatoon will launch Martin Morning: The Chinese Mystery, an 86-minute family-adventure feature film. The movie follows Martin, a young boy with a special power: everyday he wakes up with a new appearance, from a pirate to an alien and even a dragon! Because of his special ability, Martin journeys to a village in China to defeat a mysterious beast. But there’s a problem: he can’t control his unpredictable power!
Ready for delivery, the movie is a spinoff of the four-season animated series Martin Morning, distributed in more than 150 territories.
Mediatoon Distribution will also showcase two new TV specials acquired from third-parties producers, complementing the in-house projects from of its sister companies (Ellipse Animation, Belvision, Studio Campedelli).
Zoobox (26’) is a preschool stop-motion adventure following a curious kangaroo who loses her parents after boarding a boat. Driven to find them, she starts her search, meeting countless animals along the way. Adding educational value to the special, Zoobox raises awareness about climate change in a playful and poetic way.
And Venice, the Most Ancient City of the Future (26’) is a kids and family time-traveling adventure. Falling through a mysterious gate, Nanna embarks on a journey thanks to an antique time machine, visiting the Venice from the past and the future. Between History and family roots, Nanna will realize that the future of her beloved city lies in her own hands! Venice, the Most Ancient City of the Future is a modern fable celebrating ecological consciousness and the power role of children taking action.
