Kaleidoscope Entertainment has announced that the latest family adventure Gracie and Pedro: Mission Impossible will making its way to U.K. cinemas from August 9. A new trailer has debuted ahead of the theatrical launch.
Synopsis: Gracie and Pedro are family pets with nothing in common. Gracie is a purebred pampered pooch, whilst Pedro is a brazen, rescue cat, and their brawling is about to have disastrous consequences!
Stranded in an unfamiliar land after losing their family at the airport, the four-legged pair face the seemingly impossible challenge of finding their own way home. What follows is a daunting quest, packed with colorful characters and perilous escapades that forces Gracie and Pedro to confront their differences and accept what they do have in common — they won’t quit on family.
The voice cast features many notable names, including Bill Nighy as Conrad the condor, Susan Sarandon as Shades the rabbit, Alicia Silverstone as Sissy-Chrissy the snake duo, Danny Trejo as Laurence the goldfish, Brooke Shields as Willow the horse and Al Franken as Gramps. British actress Claire Alan (Reign) and Canadian voice actor Cory Doran (Total DramaRama) star as Gracie and Pedro, respectively.
Gracie and Pedro: Mission Impossible is directed by Kevin Donovan, known for the Jackie Chan actioner The Tuxedo and the WildAid PSA against pangolin poaching (featuring Chan and some CG critter co-stars), and Noodle and Bun creator Gottfried Roodt.
Also known as Gracie and Pedro: Pets to the Rescue, the film is produced by Second Chance Pictures with animation by Ferin Post Production and production services by GTE Productions. The pets began their global theatrical adventure in May, including a special “play-along” screening in Upland, California to benefit Friends of Upland Animal Shelter (one of many local shelters partnered with the film). The international rollout continues through August in the U.S., Mexico, Brazil and other territories.
