Creative studio Toikido and kids’ entertainment co. CAKE have teamed up to develop and co-produce a long-form animated series built on the popular PeaKeeBoo universe of YouTube shorts. The new prechool-targeted series will be comprised of five-minute shorts following three colorful friends.
“We are ecstatic to partner with CAKE on this exciting venture,” said Darran Garnham, Founder & CEO of Toikido. “CAKE’s track record in producing high-quality children’s content is unparalleled, and we are confident that together we will bring the magical world of PeaKeeBoo to life, captivating young audiences globally.”
Synopsis: PeaKeeBoo is an enchanting animation series inspired by the classic childhood game. The series is designed to captivate preschool children and their families, promoting themes of exploration, creativity and playful learning. Set deep among the trees of Flower Meadow Wood, the series centers on Pea, Kee and Boo, three friends who love hide-and-seek and the wondrous sounds and visuals of nature.
Award-winning singer-songwriter Sophie Ellis-Bextor, known for hits like “Murder on the Dancefloor,” “Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love)” and “Take Me Home,” will provide her voice as the narrator of the PeaKeeBoo animated series.
“We are delighted to collaborate with Toikido on PeaKeeBoo,” said Ed Galton, CEO of CAKE. “Toikido’s innovative approach to brand building combined with our storytelling and distribution expertise promises to deliver an extraordinary series that will resonate with children and parents alike.”
Golden Bear Toys (U.K.) has been appointed as the master toy licensee for the series, with plans to launch a range of textured plush, figurines and activity sets in autumn and winter of 2025.
