‘The Casagrandes Movie’ Gets Rolling to Netflix with New Trailer

A cross-border vacation takes a mythological turn in The Casagrandes Movie, the brand-new, 2D-animated feature film skating to Netflix screens next month! A new trailer has just dropped for the movie, which is based on the hit Nickelodeon series The Casagrandes (a spin-off of The Loud House), produced by Nickelodeon Animation Studios.

The pic makes its streaming premiere March 22.

Synopsis: After a surprise family trip to Mexico derails Ronnie Anne’s birthday plans, she is determined to prove that she’s old enough to do her own thing — even if it means confronting an ancient preteen demigod whose angst has apocalyptic potential!

The Casagrandes and The Loud House director-producer Miguel Puga helms The Casagrandes Movie, from a script by Tony Gama-Lobo & Rebecca May, Lalo Alcaraz & Rosemary Contreras. Michael Rubiner, who developed the television series with Puga, is executive producer.

Series voice stars Izabella Alvarez (Ronnie Anne), Sumalee Montano (Ronnie Anne’s mother, Maria), Sonia Manzano (Abuela Rosa) and Angélica Aragón (Mama Lupe) return for the movie, with other leading cast including Paulina Chávez (Fate: The Winx Saga), Kate del Castillo (Maya and the Three) and Cristo Fernández (Ted Lasso).
