Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Wish will soon offer its musical tribute to the studio’s storytelling legacy. Fans can enjoy a sing-along movie version, never-before-seen bonus features and deleted scenes when the film becomes available from all major digital retailers, including Prime Video, Apple TV and Vudu, on January 23 and on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on March 12.
Synopsis: In this animated musical-comedy, Asha (voiced by Oscar winner Ariana DeBose), a sharp-witted idealist in the kingdom of Rosas, makes a powerful wish that’s answered by Star, a ball of boundless energy. Soon, Asha and Star must face a formidable foe — the ruler of Rosas (Chris Pine) — to save her community and prove that when one brave human connects with the magic of the stars, wondrous things happen.
Directed by Chris Buck (Frozen, Frozen II) and Fawn Veerasunthorn (head of story, Raya and the Last Dragon) from a screenplay by studio creative chief Jennifer Lee (Frozen, Frozen II) and Allison Moore (Powers), Wish also features the voices of Alan Tudyk, Angelique Cabral, Victor Garber, Natasha Rothwell, Jennifer Kumiyama, Evan Peters, Harvey Guillén, Ramy Youssef, Niko Vargas, Jon Rudnitsky and Della Saba.
