An international coalition of animation and VFX creatives, industry leaders, students and educators will gather once again in Edinburgh, Scotland from February 21-23 for MOVE Summit — celebrating ‘the joy of making things move.’
From home base at the historic Pleasance Courtyard, the event will offer three days of talks, workshops, creative reviews, screenings, tech demos, an exhibition and recruitment fair, networking and business development.
The line-up of esteemed speakers for 2024 include Jane Wu (Blue Eye Samurai), James Williams (The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Illumination), Emilie Bach (Julián, Cartoon Saloon), Troy Quane (Nimona, Netflix), Torsten Schrank (Klaus) and Nathan Jurevicius (Scarygirl), with more to be announced.
In the evenings, gathered professionals and up and comers will move off site for MOVE Late gatherings, such as the popular Drink & Draw.
Building on the success enjoyed at previous editions, the Summit will also feature the Business @ MOVE strand, a dedicated industry program which brings independent studios and producers together with commissioners, broadcasters, agencies and industry bodies to explore mutually beneficial opportunities and production practices.
MOVE Summit 2024 is sponsored by Screen Scotland, Interference Pattern, ScreenSkills Animation, Eyebolls and HeeHaw.
