The plucky, clucky barnyard heroes of Aardman’s Chicken Run are ready to fly the coop in a new adventure at the end of the year. Ahead of its official launch, Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget will have its World Premiere at the 67th BFI London Film Festival (October 4-15), presented in partnership with American Express. The gala screening on Saturday, October 14 at Southbank Center’s Royal Festival Hall is supported by the Mayor of London and Film London.

Synopsis: Having pulled off a death-defying escape from Tweedy’s farm, Ginger has finally found her dream — a peaceful island sanctuary for the whole flock, far from the dangers of the human world. When she and Rocky hatch a little girl called Molly, Ginger’s happy ending seems complete. But back on the mainland the whole of chicken-kind faces a new and terrible threat. For Ginger and her team, even if it means putting their own hard-won freedom at risk — this time, they’re breaking in!

Timed to the World Premiere at BFI London Film Festival (bfi.org.uk/london-film-festival), there will also be simultaneous preview screenings of the film taking place at multiple cinemas across the U.K. Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget debuts globally on Netflix on December 15 (netflix.com/chickenrundawnofthenugget).
