New ‘Spider-Verse’ Clips, Posters Spotlight the Spider Society (and Spider-Cat!)

The big day is almost here, true believers! Ahead of the June 2 release of the eagerly awaited sequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Sony Pictures Animation has unveiled new clips and visually popping character posters that spotlight the heroes of the multiverse, their portal-popping new foe and one adorable feline ally from the animated Marvel adventure.

Clips released in the last couple of days give fans a glimpse of Miles Morales’ (voice by Shameik Moore) struggles balancing his school work and his Spider-Man duties, to his parents’ (Brian Tyree Henry and Luna Lauren Vélez) chagrin (watch “Missing Class” here), and learning the ropes with Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld) (watch “Gwen & Miles”). The latest clip, released today, takes a swing through Mumbattan with Miles, Gwen and Pavitr Prabhakar (Karan Soni):

The punchy character posters are stylized to reflect each character and the unique aesthetic influences of their worlds. Featured are sequel introductions Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman (Issa Rae), Miguel O’Hara/Spider-Man 2099 (Oscar Isaac), Hobie Brown/Spider-Punk (Daniel Kaluuya), Ben Reilly/Scarlet Spider (Andy Samberg) and Pavitr Prabhakar/Spider-Man India, as well as returning heroes Miles, Gwen and Peter B. Parker (Jake Johnson), their new foe The Spot (Jason Schwartzman) and the furmidable super chonk, Spider-Cat!
