‘Bossy Bear’ Celebrates Children’s Day, AAPI Heritage in Song

To mark the Korean celebration of Children’s Day as well as Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month in the United State, Nickelodeon’s delightful transpacific toon Bossy Bear has released a technicolor music video. The Nick Jr. Music tune explains 어린이날 (pronounced “eorininal”) — “Kid’s Day when kids play their own way!”

Created by the husband and wife team behind the hit UglyDolls franchise, David Horvath and Sun-Min Kim, Bossy Bear features the voices of Jayden Ham as Bossy, Jaba Keh as Turtle, Claudia Choi as Bossy’s Mom and Gran-Grean, Shaun Baer as Bossy’s Dad, Viva Lee as Bissy, Bossy’s older sister, and Beahlen Deacon as her bestie, Ginger. Real-life couple Lance Bass and Michael Turchin are recurring guest stars for Season 1.

The show is produced by Nickelodeon Animation, Imagine Kids+Family and Renegade Animation.

Bossy Bear premiered in March on Nickelodeon. Brand-new episodes will roll out Monday through Thursday at 9 a.m. ET/PT all through May. Bossy and pals will make their international debuts on Nick Jr. channels around the world later this year.
