The Animation Guild’s Black Artists Group Presents New Mixed Media Exhibit

The Animation Guild’s Black Artists Group will present Colorful Characters, a mixed-media exhibition by animation industry professionals at Gallery 839. The show, which begins on March 2nd at 5:30 p.m. at The Animation Guild in Burbank, will feature a variety of original art, prints, designer vinyl toys, resin collectibles and 3D wall art.

The talented artists featured at the exhibit are:  

  • Kat Ball, Character Designer whose credits include Tuca & Bertie and Ten Year Old Tom.
  • Nicole Ham, Character and Model Designer, 2D and 3D Artist, and Technical Director on Animaniacs and Tuca & Bertie.
  • Mia Renee Johnson, Comic Artist and Color Designer most recently on Praise Petey.
  • Jupey Krusho, Writer and Director whose credits include Hey Hugo!and Boko the Destroyer.
  • Robert Tyler, animation veteran whose work ranges from Flash Gordon to The Iron Giant.

No RSVP is necessary for opening night. The public is welcome to visit the gallery for the remainder of March during business hours, but visitors must make requests in advance. Please email jupey.krusho@tag839.org.
