Barbie: Skipper and The Big Babysitting Adventure

Barbie’s younger sister, Skipper Roberts, saves the day with her unique babysitting skills when Barbie: Skipper and The Big Babysitting Adventure debuts on Netflix in the U.S on March 16. The 60-minute movie is the 42nd Barbie film, preceded by the character’s first-ever interactive special, Barbie: Epic Road Trip, also on Netflix.

“In this all-new, animated movie, Skipper explores her passion for babysitting as first seen in the ‘Baby Sister Babysitter’ episode of Barbie Dreamhouse Adventures,” notes executive producer Frederic Soulie (Barbie: Big City, Big Dreams, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe), SVP & General Manager, Mattel Television. “We love expanding and continuing the storylines of our beloved characters, and we’re eager for fans to see what Skipper and the rest of her friends have in store in Barbie: Skipper and The Big Babysitting Adventure.”

“Skipper Roberts has been a fan-favorite character amongst our devoted community of fans for decades, which is why we’re especially excited to introduce her as a title character for the first time,” says exec producer Christopher Keenan (Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe), SVP of Creative & EP Global Content, Mattel Television. “Not only is Skipper shy and quiet, yet sarcastic and funny in her own unique ways, she’s also a perfect role model for the next generation as she showcases the importance of individuality, confidence and self-growth.”
