Tubi Teams with GKIDS to Offer Acclaimed Animated Indies for Free

FOX Entertainment’s free VOD service Tubi has entered into a content partnership deal with GKIDS, producer-distributor of acclaimed animated movies from around the world. Later this month, Tubi will begin rolling out celebrated feature films from GKIDS, including the Academy Award-nominated Ernest & Celestine” and A Cat in Paris, as well as Goya Award-winning Nocturna, with additional titles to be available later this year.

The deal with GKIDS is the latest addition to Tubi’s robust selection of premium award-winning animated content, with thousands of hours of anime titles, including In This Corner of the World, Millennium Actress, Liz and the Blue Bird and Penguin Highway, as well as beloved titles The Iron Giant, Animal Farm, Peter and the Wolf, Monster House and more.

GKIDS titles coming to Tubi in 2022 include:

  • Academy Award-nominated Ernest & Celestine (2012), directed by Stéphane Aubier, Vincent Patar, Benjamin Renner
  • Academy Award-nominated A Cat in Paris (2010), dir. Jean-Loup Felicioli, Alain Gagnol
  • Goya Award winner Nocturna (2007), dir. Adrià García, Víctor Maldonado
  • Eleanor’s Secret (2009), dir. Dominique Monfery, Muhammad Omar Faruk
  • The Painting (2011), dir. Jean-François Laguionie
  • A Town Called Panic: Back to School Panic! (2016), dir. Stéphane Aubier, Vincent Patar
  • A Town Called Panic: Christmas Panic! (2013)

GKIDS is the producer and distributor of award-winning feature animation for both adult and family audiences. Tubi has more than 40,000 movies and series from more than 250 content partners, available on Android and iOS mobile devices, Amazon Echo Show, Google Nest Hub, and on OTT devices such as Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast, GoogleTV, LG Smart TVs, Vizio TVs, Sony TVs, Samsung TVs, Hisense TVs, Comcast X1, Cox Contour, PlayStation 4 and 5 and Xbox One and Series X | S.
