“Collaborating with the Simpsons team on couch gags is always a highlight for me and Tom Root,” shared John Harvatine IV, who directed the segment. “This time we were beyond excited to share our vision of a wooden peg person world reimagined as Springfield from a long lost fairytale. The world was completely fabricated out of wood, and lovingly hand-crafted in stop-motion with our super talented crew at Stoopid Buddy Stoodios.”
Tom Room came up with the story and wrote “All Hail Princess Maggie!” The Stoopid Buddy team on this project also included supervising producer Kelly L’Estrange, line producers Alyssa Choate Rusche and Mario De Jesus, director of photography Joe Passarelli, art director Frank Duran, storyboard supervising director and character designer Shannon Denton, head of puppet fabrication Caroline Kastelic, head of costume Julia Kalugina, editor Hank Friedmann, VFX supervisor Mike Spitzmiller and production designer Shannon Denton.
Executive producers on the project were Stoopid Buddy co-founders Seth Green, Matthew Senreich, Eric Towner and Harvatine IV. Jasmine Johnson is head of studio.
