A brand-new 22-minute animated special Marvel Rising: Battle of the Bands will serenade fans starting Wednesday, August 28 at 4 p.m. PT when it premieres on the Marvel HQ YouTube channel. The new adventure will also be available on DisneyNOW the next day, Aug. 29.
In Marvel Rising: Battle of the Bands, Gwen’s plans for the “Battle of the Bands” competition get derailed when mysterious attacks force her and the Secret Warriors to investigate. Can they save the city and get Gwen to the concert on time?
Dove Cameron (Descendants 3) voice stars as Gwen Stacy/Ghost-Spider, and features Tyler Posey as Inferno, Cierra Ramirez as America Chavez, Milana Vayntrub as Squirrel Girl, Kathreen Khavari as Ms. Marvel, Kamil McFadden as Patriot, Sofia Wylie as Ironheart, Dee Bradley Baker as Tippy-Toe, Skai Jackson as Gloria, and Tara Strong as Screaming Mimi/Mary Jane.
In conjunction with the premiere of Marvel Rising: Battle of the Bands, select crew members will be live-chatting with fans on the Marvel HQ YouTube channel on Aug. 28 at 4:00 p.m.
Marvel Rising: Battle of the Bands is executive produced by Joe Quesada, Dan Buckley, Cort Lane and Eric Radomski; co-executive produced by Stan Lee, Sana Amanat and Marsha Griffin. The special was written by Mae Catt. Alfred Gimeno served as supervising animation producer and Chris Rutkowski as director.
