Australian animation studio Flying Bark Productions (part of Studio 100 Group) has kicked off production on the new CG series 100% Wolf (26 x 22’). All global distribution rights will be handled by German content co Studio 100 Media | m4e. The oddball comedy follows the misadventures of Freddy Lupin, an 11-year-old boy from a family of werewolves whose life plan gets tossed out when his transformation powers turn him into an adorable poodle instead.
The show will follow a theatrical feature of the same name, currently in production and set for delivery in October 2019. A worldwide release is planned for late 2019/early 2020. Theatrical distribution is being handled by Constantin Film in German-speaking territories, and internationally by Studio 100 Film.
Flying Bark has adapted the property from the popular Australian children’s novel 100% Wolf by Jayne Lyons (Random House Aus.), which was followed by 100% Hero and the upcoming 100% Doggie. Series commissioning broadcasters are ABC (Australia), for its ABC ME channel; and Super RTL (Germany).
Studio 100 Media | m4e will handle all international rights and start worldwide sales activities for the series in early 2019. Completion of the series is scheduled for end of 2019. The project received principal production investment from Screen Australia and was financed with support from Screen West and Create NSW.
