CBBC Adds Tiger Aspect’s Tim Searle, Ups Anna Davies

UK’s CBBC Productions has boosted its scripted production team with the appointment of Tim Searle, formerly of Tiger Aspect, to oversee its animated comedy division; and the elevation of Anna Davies, promoted to Head of Drama Development.

As the new Executive Producer of Animation at CBBC Prod., Tim Searle will lead the pubcaster’s in-house toon comedy slate — including the hit revamp of Danger Mouse, for which he serves as EP. He joins CBBC from Tiger Aspect, where he became Creative Director for Kids & Animation in 2015, having joined the studio in 2013 as series director for Mr. Bean.

Searle also founded Baby Cow Animation in 2001 with Steve Coogan and Henry Normal. A member of Skillset Animation Group and Animation UK, his credits include I Am Not an Animal, Horrible Histories (BBC), Dara O’Briain’s School of Hard Sums (Dave), Man Down (C4), The Cow that Almost Missed Christmas (CBeebies), Uncle Wormsley’s Christmas (Sky Arts), and Warren United (ITV).

Anna Davies has been with CBBC Prod. since 2012 as a senior development producer, serving as creative lead across a variety of scripted projects — including the upcoming TV adaptation of author-illustrator Jill Murphy’s The Worst Witch. Davies career highlights also include serving as a scripted development exec at Lime Pictures and a stint at ITV Productions.
