The first official trailer for Batman: The Killing Joke has arrived — although we still don’t have a firm date for the Warner Bros. Home Entertainment disc & digital release. The Killing Joke preview, which premiered on Yahoo, teases some of the dark and twisted moments of the Dark Knight and The Joker’s rivalry awaiting viewers in the R-rated animated movie, which is based on the acclaimed but challenging graphic novel by Alan Moore.
Produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment, Batman: The Killing Joke is the first ever DC Universe Original Movie to be rated R by the MPAA. The film is directed by Sam Liu (Justice League: Gods and Monsters) and produced by the legendary Bat-master, Bruce Timm. The voice cast is lead by veterans Kevin Conroy (Batman), Mark Hamill (The Joker) and Tara Strong (Barbara Gordon), with Twin Peaks’ Ray Wise as Commissioner Gordon.
