- The Foundry, a global provider of award-winning creative software, has appointed SDLC as worldwide business development partner for FLIX. FLIX is The Foundry’s web-based software solution to enhance pre-production and storyboarding process for animated features and commercials. - Singapore based August Media Holdings has licensed its preschool animated series Ella Bella Bingo to several new territories. Indonesia’s DaiiTV, Ireland’s TG4, Turkey’s Samanyolu TV, Good TV in Taiwan are among the new homes for the series while it has already started broadcast on Singapore’s number 1 kid’s channel Okto. The second season of Ella Bella Bingo has already played on several Scandinavian channels including NRK, DR, SVT and is carried on Al Jazeera across the Middle East and North Africa. Another 52 episodes of the show are being delivered early next year.
- French producer and distributor Cyber Group Studios continues to establish a strong presence for its hit preschool property’s Zou (104 x 11 mins.) in North America with new deals with Hulu, NBC Kids, the widely established PlayKids preschool digital app, and a promotional agreement with a major restaurant chain.
- DHX Media has announced broadcast deals for Inspector Gadget (26 x 22′), its brand-new CGI series, which is an update of the classic kids’ cartoon. Turner Broadcasting has taken the series for its Boomerang channels across EMEA, Latin America and Asia Pacific. Inspector Gadget was commissioned by TELETOON in Canada and will premiere on the network in 2015.
