The cast of Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted is growing.
The DreamWorks Animation feature announced that actors Bryan Cranston, Jessica Chastain and Martin Short have provided voices for the movie, which is set for a June 8 release.
Cranston is best known for his starring roles in the comedy series Malcolm in the Middle and in the acclaimed AMC drama Breaking Bad. His animation voice credits range from Clerks: The Series and Robot Chicken, to guest spots on Family Guy and American Dad! He also did the voice of Jim Gordon in Batman: Year One.
Chastain is new to animated projects. She earned acclaim for her role this past year in the features The Tree of Life and The Help.
Short has extensive experience in comedy series, features and animation, from SCTV to voicing the lead character in PBS Kids!’ current series The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That.
They join returning cast members Ben Stiller, Jada Pinkett Smith, David Schwimmer, Chris Rock and Sacha Baron Cohen for the movie, which is being directed by Eric Darnell from a script by Noah Baumbach.
