Disney Channel will premiere the second season of its hit animated show Fish Hooks on Friday, Nov. 4. At 9:30 p.m. Created by Noah Z. Jones, the series has been one of TV’s top-rated series among kids 6-11 and tweens 9-14 since its debuted in September 2010.
Season two will continue to follow best fish friends Bea (Chelsey Kane), Milo (Kyle Massey) and Oscar (Justin Roiland) as they tackle everyday tween life adventures as well as giant lobsters, babysitting an ornery catfish and riding a bucking scorpion. Voice cast includes Felicia Day, Wallace Shawn and Doug Brochu (“So Random!”), as well as Rachel Dratch, Jerry Stiller, Atticus Shaffer, Jennifer Coolidge, Richard Simmons, Dana Snyder, Alex Hirsch, John DiMaggio and Edie McClurg.
The series was created by children’s book illustrator Jones (Almost Naked Animals), developed for TV by Alex Hirsch (Gravity Falls, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack) and Bill Reiss (Chowder) and is exec produced by Noah Z. Jones and Maxwell Atoms (The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy).

In addition, Disney TV Animation is developing ToddQuest, an animated comedy about two boys who form an unlikely friendship, created by Dennis Messner (Moopy on the Beach) and written by Greg Lisbe (Outsourced). Dave Wasson (Time Squad) is set to direct the show. The studio has also hired a number of top veteran animators to work on new projects. The list includes Craig McCracken (The Powerpuff Girls, Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends), Paul Rudish (My Little Pony, Sym-Bionic Titan) Matt Danner (Mucha Lucha) and Sam Levine (Bolt, Treasure Planet).
