Skeye Inflight Ent. (www.skeye.tv) has picked up The Giddy Gander Co.’s animated children’s series The Wumblers and will add it to its lineup of entertaiment offerings for airline travelers. The companydistributes programming to more than 200 airlines with a catalog that includes Sesame Street and Pinky Dinky Doo.
Created by Giddy Gander CEO Laura Wellington, The Wumblers is a heart-warming and educational collection of tales featuring Bertrum, a young Wumbler, and his best friend, Raimundo, a Spanish-speaking snail. Appreciation of diversity is a major theme of the show as each Wumbler must eventually discover what his or her true color is.
“The partnership between The Giddy Gander Company and Skeye Inflight Entertainment will support The Wumblers children’s television series and brand in its commitment to teaching children about the world as a global community and making the world a better place,’ says Heidi Schwartz, VP of strategic alliances and business development for The Giddy Gander Co. ‘What better way to do this than through the airlines.”
The Wumblers was previously acquired by the Trinity Broadcasting and Smile of a Child networks. Overseas pickups include Australian Christian Channel (ACC) and KTV (Kids and Teens Television) in Australia. For more information on the show, visit www.wumblers.com.
