Virtual Humans Come To Life With Pulse
San Francisco-based media technologies company Pulse has begun shipping Pulse Veepers 3.0. The virtual human creation software promises quicker and easier authoring of more realistic virtual characters for use in e-marketing and other communications arenas.
Pulse Veepers 3.0 allows users without 3D modeling, rendering and animation expertise to take single 2D images and transform them into interactive 3D characters, complete with speech, expressions and other behaviors, in minutes.
Since Pulse Veepers 3.0 can output directly to Java, no plug-in is required. Other new features and functionality include full-body characters, transcript-assisted automatic lip synching and an array of image manipulation tools. The company claims that the result is content creation at a fraction of the cost, production time and bandwidth.
Pulse also asserts that Veepers-generated characters can approximate streaming video-based content at 1% to 2% of the file size of video and offer other advantages like full interactivity, quick and easy updating, full-screen playback without degradation and lower production, storage and delivery costs.
Pulse Veepers 3.0 is available now via enterprise licenses. For more information, visit www.pulse3d.com.
