Two Versions of Softimage|XSI 6.5 Release Hit Market Today

Two new software packages from the Softimage family are available to CG artists this week. The Montreal-based company’a subsidiary of Avid Tech.’has announced the release of Softimage|XSI’ 6.5 Essentials (for artists) and Softimage|XSI 6.5 Advanced (for production facilities) today.

Softimage has added Hair, Fur and Syflex Cloth features to XSI 6.5 Essentials, which will allow 3D artists the most complete creative 3D tool set at the price for the very reasonable price of $2,995. The Advanced versionadds five batch rendering licenses for facilities that require high-capacity throughput for $4,995. Additionally, both versions include over 30 customer-driven feature enhancements.
