NewTek Upgrades LightWave 3D

LightWave 3D maker NewTek has announced the release of a major upgrade to the software.

LightWave v. 9.6 has implemented more than 625 feature requests and reported issues, and is the fifth free upgrade in the LightWave v. 9 series.

Benefits of the new version include fiber FX cloning, layout snapping, drag and drop of an object or scene, new and improved export buffers, multi-threaded pixel filters, depth buffer normalizing, ray cutoff, open to other render engines and new nodes for car paint, flake and curve.
