New ‘Morris Lessmore’ App Has Holiday Twist
The best-selling iPad application based on the award-winning CG short The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore is getting a new seasonal makeover with the Holiday App, available now from the Apple App Store. Developed by Moonbot, the app can now be enjoyed in eight languages and features all new holiday content, including free access to the toon.
“Now, people around the world can experience the immersive story of the Morris App that redefines the boundaries of book, film and game. Building on the little book app that could, we’ve enriched the popular Morris App with the spirit of the holidays and added fun, new elements in an imaginative way,” said William Joyce, managing creative partner of Moonbot Studios. “Its growing popularity confirms that readers everywhere have an appetite for interactive narratives.”
The app is available in Mandarin, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Dutch and Turkish as well as English and can be purchased for $4.99 for the iPad, iPhone and iTouch devices. Kids can now watch snow falling from the changing seasons page, enjoy seasonally enhanced versions of existing games: The book hand-out game now includes A Christmas Carol, the cereal bowl game allows players to use marshmallow emoticons and punctuation as they rearrange letters, and Humpty Dumpty has been added as a metronome for the piano game, where kids learn to play songs on life-like piano keys.
A red leather Morris Lessmore-branded DODOcase for the iPad is also available now for $64.95 at www.dodocase.com/collections/dodocase.
